Savills appoints global occupier services chief

Savills has named Rick Schuham as chief executive of global occupier services.

Schuham was previously chairman of global occupier services for North America and has been with the firm for more than 33 years.

He will now oversee a team providing fully integrated commercial real estate services, focused on multi-market and multi-service occupancy strategy, outsourced management and service co-ordination for clients around the world.

In his new role, Schuham will work closely with teams and regional leaders in North America, EMEA and Asia Pacific to strengthen and expand Savills’ integrated occupier services platform.

Under Schuham’s leadership, this business line advised on client portfolios totalling more than 5bn sq ft across more than 28,500 locations last year. The team was awarded significant portfolio contracts with clients including Baxter Healthcare, Regal Rexnord and Black & Veatch.

Schuham said: “As CEO of global occupier services, I am committed to expanding our platform around a central mantra: combining a local approach with a global perspective to deliver exceptional service for our occupier clients.

“Together with our clients, we are working to develop occupancy and location strategies to manage costs, reduce risks and make qualified decisions faster.”

Savills chief executive Mark Ridley said: “The strength and depth of our teams on the ground, as well as our ability to support our clients across all key markets globally through dedicated and experienced teams will deliver a unique service to our client base.

“Under Rick’s leadership, we will continue partnering with new and existing clients, driving innovation and optimised performance across their portfolios, and ultimately delivering on their commercial real estate goals.”
