The number of large companies which say sustainability is a high priority has fallen to its lowest level since early 2020.
The finding from the NatWest Sustainable Business Tracker comes just weeks after prime minister Rishi Sunak made a U-turn on some key net zero pledges.
Unlike their larger counterparts, small and medium-sized enterprises remain committed to becoming more sustainable, with energy efficiency being the top green priority for the next five years.
