Sources close to former Iceland boss Malcolm Walker denied that his new business was called Frozen Out.
He plans to open a frozen food store in Wrexham, next month and is believed to have been joined by five senior executives from Iceland.
Walker is also thought to have retained an interest through organic food stores in London called As Nature Intended.
