Mark Webster, Cushman & Wakefield’s co-chair of EMEA logistics and industrial, is leaving the firm to join Dowley Turner Real Estate.
Webster is the second big name to join the firm in successive weeks, following JLL’s lead director of portfolios, David Emburey.
Webster’s clients include occupiers such as John Lewis, Marks & Spencer, Sainsbury’s, Poundland and Boden, as well as landlords Prologis, Roxhill, Stoford and SEGRO.
He had been at Cushman & Wakefield since 2006, having previously been Knight Frank’s head of industrial agency.
Keith Dowley, founding partner of DTRE said: “Mark brings with him a wealth of occupier contacts and relationships and his skillset will be very complimentary to our own.
“This announcement so soon after that of JLL’s David Emburey also joining as an investment partner marks a significant growth step in the evolution of DTRE and will take our number to 20.
“Although we see the post-Brexit environment as challenging for the UK property market, we believe that it will bring with it opportunities for our clients and Mark and David will play a significant part in that.”
Colin Wilson, head of UK and Ireland at Cushman & Wakefield, said: “We appreciate the work that Mark has undertaken during his time with the company and wish him well for his future.
“Robert Hall, who has been co-chair with Mark of our successful 125-strong EMEA logistics and industrial business, will ensure a smooth transition of client responsibilities within our UK team.”
