WiredScore expands to Scotland

Connectivity ratings and advisory firm WiredScore has launched in Scotland in a bid to help landlords deal with commonplace internet outages.

The business, which launched in New York in 2013, provides a rating scheme for new and existing buildings based on their connectivity and technological capabilities.

It found that Scottish businesses experienced internet outages around six times a month. Some 47% experienced problems at least once a week and 8% daily.

However, 91% of business leaders said the quality of internet connection and coverage through mobile networks was the most important criteria when choosing office space.
