Tripty is the founder of Travtus which is the home to the first automated digital property manager called “Adam”. She is a trained Architect and worked previously in the real estate industry in New York, Mumbai , Singapore and now London. She has successfully developed residential multi-family projects and also run a construction company prior to focussing on automation with the use of data and machine learning. She has scaled Travtus’s footprint in both the US & the UK and provides technology to over 13,000 units in New York city.
Vanessa Lee Butz: CEO & Founder, District Technologies
Vanessa is passionate about shaping the future of cities to improve everyone’s work and life experience. Working at the intersection of cities and technology, she founded District Technologies, a community and smart building platform for large commercial or residential portfolios that helps owners save time and money. Prior to District, having written her masters thesis at Oxford University on "Understanding the DNA of Strong Entrepreneurial Hubs”, she took her theory into practice by building large coworking campuses (Factory Berlin and Interchange London for Market-Tech).
Darryll Colthrust: Director of Innovation, Palmer Capital
Darryll graduated from Queen Mary, University of London with MEng, Internet Computing & BSc, Electronic Engineering in 2004. He has held roles as Technology Enterprise Architect at Informa, Enterprise Architect at Tesco and, most recently, Director of Business Architecture at American Express. He has over 16 years’ digital experience in both the public and private sector, and also led the team that designed and built the first centralised content hub for Nature magazine, one of the most prestigious academic global publishers.
Richard Crook: Chief Marketing Officer , Colliers International EMEA
Richard joined Colliers International in January 2015 from Savills where I was the Head of BD, Marketing and CRM for UK & Europe for 4 years. As the Chief Marketing Officer for Colliers in EMEA, he also serves as a member of the EMEA Board. At Colliers, he is responsible for working with the EMEA CEO and Board to develop and implement a marketing and communication strategy to position the business as a leader in the commercial real estate industry. Richard has been a leader on the Colliers TechStars programme which launched in 2017 and is passionate about innovation around technology in the property sector.
Eden Dwek: Real Estate Technology & Innovation Lead, KPMG
Eden leads KPMG’s technology and innovation work in the real estate space. His role is to bridge the gap between the digital and built environments, and spans from growing the PropTech ecosystem - helping high growth technology companies, from startup to scaleup and beyond - to helping corporate real estate with their technology, innovation and digital transformation initiatives. Eden also sits on the British Property Federation’s Technology and Innovation Working Group. As part of KPMG’s wider innovative startup work, the team has been working with fast-growing technology businesses for six years and have met over 6,000 different companies, from seed all the way through to exit, helping in a variety of ways.
Dan Hughes : CEO, LIQUID Real Estate Innovation and Alpha Property Insight
Dan is founder of ‘Alpha Property Insight’ and ‘LIQUID Real Estate Innovation’ which help the property sector to embrace and benefit from new ways of thinking and technology.Before this, Dan spent his career working across the built environment and has held senior roles in some of the world's leading data organisations. Dan led the Land and Property Sector strategy and commercial activity at Ordnance Survey, the world’s leading location data specialist. He led the global marketing function at IPD, part of MSCI which is the leading global data, index and benchmarking company for property investment. Dan was also Director of Data and information products for RICS which included BCIS, the world’s leading cost analysis data product and leading a Data Services team providing bespoke consultancy services.Dan also led the PropTech transformation strategy at RICS. When he left, RICS was recognised as the world’s leading PropTech brand and was voted 'Top Association' at the Global PropTech awards.Dan is on the BPF Technology and Innovation Working Group, the steering committee for MIPIM PropTech, on the RICS data handling professional statement working group and lead author for the BPF LIQUID report.Dan has achieved wide recognition in this space; voted one of the Top 50 Data leaders in the UK in 2017, voted Number 1 PropTech Influencer in the UK and the most influential global person online in PropTech. In 2018 Dan won the inaugural KPMG sponsored EG ‘Bridging the gap award’ recognising his contribution to bringing property and technology together.
Andy Pyle: Head of UK Real Estate, KPMG LLP
Andy is a partner and National Sector Head for Real Estate at KPMG in the UK. He has advised on some of the largest transactions in the European RE market, including major offices, shopping centres, portfolios of logistics warehouses and alternative assets such as PBSA and serviced offices. Andy leads the KPMG team advising clients on the impact of technological and digital disruption on the real estate sector. He chairs the BPF’s Technology & Innovation Working Group. Andy is also a member of the Management Committee of Real Estate Balance, which works to improve the gender balance of the industry.
Tim Ryan: Partner and Head of National Technology, DAC Beachcroft
Tim is a Partner and Head of our national Technology legal team. He is an experienced commercial lawyer, advising across a variety of matters in technology, media and telecoms. He helps scale-up clients with their growth and larger clients with large technology projects and transactions. Tim is closely involved with his clients, supporting them on digital business, software development, hosting, licensing, data analytics and digital media. Tim and his team also work with our regulatory and sector experts to advise clients in the FinTech, InsurTech, PropTech and HealthTech sectors.
Filippo Rean: Director of the Real Estate Division MIPIM & MAPIC markets, Reed MIDEM
Filippo Rean joined Reed MIDEM in October 2010 as Director of MIPIM and MIPIM Asia, the leading international real estate tradeshows and conferences. Since September 2014, he has become Director of Reed MIDEM’s Real Estate Division, hence is in charge of supervising all MIPIM & MAPIC markets. He started his career in the marketing department of Procter & Gamble in Italy and then joined Bain & Company where he focused his activity on the financial sector and real estate. He joined the European headquarters of GE Capital Real Estate in Paris in 2005 and held various roles in strategic marketing and product development. Filippo Rean has an engineering degree from the Politecnico di Torino, holds an MBA in Business Administration from Harvard and is fluent in Italian - his mother tongue - English and French.
David Twohig: Founding Partner, Wordsearch Place
David is a property developer who has championed the synergy of creating great places while maximizing value. From 2008 to 2017 David worked as both Chief Development Officer and Head of Design and Placemaking at Battersea Power Station. David was instrumental in developing the concept strategy, masterplan, mix and activation at the Power Station. Prior to that he helped establish the largest western-owned development company in China and well as working on Silicon Docks in Dublin.
